About
In a Nutshell
By Tina Shimizu
There once lived a girl who loved art but artists starved and she liked food. So she studied computer science, which had nothing to do with art but it gave her access to worldly cuisines. She thrived in the corporate world, traveling to far-off exotic countries around the world but the tastes of the world soon no longer satiated her hunger for purpose.Â
She finally went back to art school and felt more alive than ever. With her degree, she moved to the land of white beaches and cafe con leche, called Miami, and shot photos of beautiful people for beautiful magazines. She then moved to the fashion capital of the world and worked tirelessly around the clock because work didn't even feel like work when it was fueled by passion. Writing became another form of art that was equally tantalizing to the palate. All was well but then two babies popped out and she became a mother of 2 very loud and demanding creatures.
She discovered that heart and passion know no bounds. She moved to the city where someone left their heart many years ago and wrote a song about it. San Francisco was no fashion capital but she found a home in illustrating and writing and made up stories to make her little monsters laugh. Art as well as love is limitless and she wishes to share her illustrations and stories with all the little monsters around the world so they too can laugh a little.
